All said and then done
Once we’ve had all our fun
Ceased the shouting
And all of the clatter

Let us all just inhale
Stop the senseless hail
Throwing missiles
And wanting to batter

Hurting that brave collective
With projectiles, invective
Half truths
And yet more of the latter

Might we stop to consider
Running hither and tither
We destroy dialogue
With mere chatter

On the pay of the state
Some then pontificate
Ideologues
Growing richer and fatter

Try to pause and then listen
Hence the human condition
Can be saved
From the pitter and patter

Of feet too enraged
Led by minds unengaged
Seeking only
To recklessly tatter

Reputations hard earned
Years of wisdom hard learned
Teaching instead
Those scholars must scatter

With a new age hypocrisy
A millennial theocracy
She contends
Yet just has bile spat at her

Scared of falling too weak
Viral epoch unique
Think just one way
Edifies insane hatter

Why not seek to debate?
With some love educate
Don’t debase
Spray some verbal attar

So now to the conclusion
Disabuse from illusion
We must talk
And that monolith shatter

Let us ask one small question
Just a humble suggestion
Which life is it
That does not matter?
