Simple ask
Wear a mask
Not too much of an onerous task
We all hope
It’s no joke
That the storm so large we might yet weather

Quite a look
I mistook
Only so much revealed o’er the nook
We are told
By the bold
Heed the words of those profs oh so clever

Terrified
Petrified
Couldn’t sleep all night long I just cried
To expose
Friends and foes
Want to save those that I promise I’d never

Wished to hurt
Yet the curt
Comments hurled by some throwing the dirt
Can wear down
But won’t frown
Knowing it could be this way forever

Take my hand
Must you stand
So far from me I can’t understand
What you said? Aching head
I’ll just hazard a guess or whatever

Distanced socially
Losing woefully
My will to live at times totally
Keep my head up
Though I’m fed up
Will have a pint with whomsoever

Feels the same
Can’t be tame
Never looking for someone to blame
Let’s be brave
And behave
We will conquer this with our endeavour
