Thought the petal falling earthward
Sad and helpless as it floated
I know that I had so much more to give
Said then mother nature to it
You could not have known emerging
Like all beings you’ve but one life to live
Wonderfully you did your duty
For you are a thing of beauty
Appreciable that you may want to cry
But my child go rest assured that
your ephemeral performance
Brought tears of joy to many a dry eye
